Infrared wireless soundfield systems are used in classrooms, boardrooms, courtrooms, hotel meeting rooms and other locations where there is concern for interference and/or electronic eavesdropping when using other types of wireless technology. Infrared signals can only be picked up by IR sensors placed within "sight" of the IR transmitter. IR signals will not pass through walls or other solid objects, thus, making IR the wireless technology of choice for secure, interference-free communication.
