General Terms and Conditions
 
General Sales, Returns, Product Availability and Pricing Policies
  
Unless otherwise expressly stated in a written agreement signed by an official of Mainesource, Inc., the terms and conditions contained, or alluded to, on Mainesource, Inc.'s written invoices, publications, and web pages, shall apply to all transactions initiated directly with Mainesource, Inc. or via its websites. Mainesource, Inc. reserves the right to periodically update and/or change its terms and conditions. A written copy of the most recent terms and conditions will be available through the Mainesource, Inc. websites and otherwise upon request. Mainesource, Inc. may be referred to hereafter as "seller" and our customers as "buyer". Mainesource, Mainesource, Inc. and seller are interchangeable terms. Customer, purchaser and buyer are interchangeable terms.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

Unless otherwise agreed to in writing by seller, purchases made using credit cards will be charged 100% of the value of the order as a deposit in full against that order at the time it is placed, prior to the shipment of any product. Further, when using a credit card for payment, it is to be understood by the buyer that they are approving any additional charges not known at the time of order, e.g., shipping costs for the order, to be charged separately and in addition to the original charge without further consultation or notification, unless other arrangements have been made with us at the time of order.

 Orders paid for with a credit card will be subject to a 3% transaction fee, which is calculated on the total amount charged to the credit card. All invoices from Mainesource, Inc. shall be paid within 30 days of the invoice date unless other terms are noted on our invoice. (Net 30 billing is only for accounts with approved credit and a signed agreement on file at Mainesource, Inc.). A finance charge of 1.75% per month (21% per annum) will be charged on all unpaid balances at 31 days past invoice date and at 30-day intervals thereafter.

 

Title to equipment purchased from Mainesource, Inc. shall be retained by Mainesource, Inc. until the account has been paid in full. Once account is paid in full, title to the equipment will pass to the buyer.

All shipments are F.O.B. point of origin unless otherwise stated on the invoice. Mainesource, Inc. assumes no liability for shipments once placed with the carrier. Liability of loss or damage resulting from carriage remains with the carrier and customer.

Any discrepancies in billing or receipt of defective or damaged equipment must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.

Orders placed with Mainesource, Inc., and use of the Mainesource, Inc. website constitutes an agreement by the customer to comply with all terms and conditions of sale, regardless of payment terms.

All returns are subject to the Return Policy of Mainesource, Inc. and of our suppliers.

All prices are subject to verification and change. Mainesource, Inc. reserves the right to adjust prices as necessary. Please see our Product Pricing & Availability Policy for further information.

All prices shown or given are in US Dollars. All transactions are in US Dollars. 

 

All AC-powered products will be for use on 120VAC, 60Hz unless otherwise described, noted, or labeled.

U.S. state sales taxes are charged when/where applicable. Customers must inquire at the time of order and, if exempt, provide a copy of a valid state tax exemption certificate.

 

RETURN POLICY

We work hard to ensure that our customers buy the correct equipment for their application, but it remains the buyer's obligation to be sure that all questions and concerns about the equipment, if any, are addressed prior to orders being placed. Special order, non-inventoried products, or those items with set frequencies or other customizations are considered non-returnable or, at minimum, may be subject to restrictions on cancellation, return, or exchange. In some cases, even when orders may be allowed to be cancelled and/or returned, a re-stock fee may still be assessed (minimum 15% of purchase price).

 

Software cannot be returned under any circumstances. 

 

Returns that are received and accepted will be credited against their corresponding outstanding invoice(s), if any, before crediting the related account(s) or credit card(s). 

 
If a return of equipment is deemed necessary, please note the following instructions:

You need JavaScript enabled to view it with your request. A return authorization number will be issued, if approved, which will remain valid for 10 days from the date of issuance. This RA# must be clearly marked on the outside of the shipping container before returning the product. 

 
Items being returned must be in the manufacturer's original equipment container(s) as received. All original packing materials, manuals, disks, cables, warranty cards, or other items that accompanied the item(s) must be returned as well, otherwise, the cost to replace these items may be charged and will be deducted from any credit due. 
 
For your protection, each package shipped must be insured for at least the value of the item(s) in each package. Mainesource, Inc. assumes no liability for goods missing or damaged during the course of a return. The goods must arrive at Mainesource, Inc. (or other designated return location) undamaged as a condition of return. For equipment being returned due to shipping damage, the equipment must arrive with only the damage reported when the return was authorized. 
 
Since some products may ship in more than one container, insure the contents of each shipping container for the actual value of its contents (do not insure a shipment of 2 containers, for example, by simply splitting the total shipment value by 2). 
 
Affix a shipping label to each carton and secure with clear packing tape. Use the return address provided upon approval of the return. Be sure that the RA (return authorization) number given to you appears clearly on this label. Neither, Mainesource, Inc. nor our suppliers will accept packages that do not clearly bear the correct RA number. 
 
Ship the package to the return address provided via prepaid and insured freight. Neither, Mainesource, Inc. nor our suppliers will accept packages sent via "collect" terms.

 

PRODUCT PRICING & AVAILABILITY

The products listed on Mainesource, Inc.’s website may not be available in all locations due to specific legal restrictions imposed upon Mainesource, Inc., it’s vendors, or by U.S. or foreign trade restriction(s).

 
Mainesource, Inc. assumes no liability for being unable to provide products or services due to such legal or contractual restrictions. Additionally, the buyer must assume responsibility for gaining all necessary approvals or licensing for legal use of any products or services purchased from Mainesource, Inc.
